Pedro Calero Lemes holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (ULL) and has a Master in Territorial Development (UAM). Since 1993, he is a professor in the Tourism Degree at the Lanzarote University School of Tourism, attached to the ULPGC, of which he was director for 5 years. He is a member of the Economics Group of the Observatory of the Biosphere Reserve of Lanzarote since 2002, where he has collaborated in the production of several reports and studies related to the economy and tourism. Between 2011 and 2015 he was managing director of the public company of the Government of the Canary Islands HECANSA, promoting a dual training model in the hotel and restaurant sector. In the field of research, he has published several articles and papers. he has also made several stays in European universities.
